Obviously, the manager on Thanksgiving is a poor one. He should have come seen us to address this. And since when will a restaurant NOT substitute for another item that is available when an allergy is involved? Two managers said yes, this one said no. This manager should find a different job.
I hate to give it three stars, but they have changed the menu and it's lacking choices now. They get you in and out quick. Food is just ok usually.

Cracker Barrel is a great place for lunch but today it was a little crowded because it was a day after Hurricane Irma. The hostess got us to a table in about ten minutes and the food arrived in an average time. The waitress was on her first day by herself and did a great job. The manager asked how she was doing and we complimented her performance. The food was very good and we were happy to have a hot meal after the storm.
Thanksgiving dinner was very good with only one issue with the manager. We called several days before to check since food allergies need to be addressed with some of the relatives. That manager told us that the pumpkin pie could be substituted for any of the other pies. So did the manager when we made reservations. Our server Kasie, who was excellent, told us management said no substitutes. We told her we had phoned ahead and told we could. She did bring the other pies, but said her manager was yelling at her for doing it.
