Overcrowding is another problem, several classrooms are not actually in a school building, but instead being held in cheap trailers, you read correctly, cheap trailers. Cramped, poorly temperature controlled trailers, with an array of issues including leaks, pest infestations, and limited access to working technology.

I m Richard wacha and I was there in 1983 it was the best time in my life there

My son has been complaining about how mean the people there too mich time on computers bad school overall now he is in felix a williams and has been doing good

I was fed up with it and found Sun Grove Montessori that actually cares about the children. The children learn to be independent and develop confidence. Not like JBE who had destroyed my daughters confidence. At Sun Grove they understand each child learns at a different pace and style. Lessons are customized for you child and how your child learns. The children learn independence, respect for themselves, each other, and their environment. They are offering scholarships to those who need.

Sad to see a once thriving school be reduced to what it is today.

The curriculum has become so focused on drilling these poor kids on standardized assessment tests, (teach to the test), it no longer resembles elementary school. Kids are mini zombies, prepping, worrying, obsessing about how to take the test, as oppose to naturally learning and teaching.

I cannot speak well enough of this school, its staff, educators and Administration. My son is having his most successful year and is very happy because of this school, their competence and their compassion. I sincerely wish he had had the benefit of Jensen Beach Elementary school throughout his elementary school career. I cannot thank these educators enough. Our family is sincerely grateful.

Common core curriculum is ridiculous. They are pushing the children too much. They aren't allowing them to be children and there is hardly any hands on material. My kindergartner was spending 45 minutes+ on a computer. This is a 5 year old. How ridiculous. Too much testing and too much time on a computer.

They have a new principal start a couple of years named Mrs. Gibbons, who is a joke. EXTREMELY poor communication with parents. She made changes to the dress code less than 2 weeks before the start of school, well after most parents finish buying our children new wardrobe. Condescending responses are the norm for this administrator.

Events, school function dates, and times get changed on a whim with little or no notice.

Don't miss out on your opportunity to give your child the education they deserve! And this is a school that I attended as a child. So very it was difficult for me to say good bye. But JBE or I'd assume most State funded schools have lost sight of what really matters.
